Overview
Evaporators, de-aerators & autoclaves is a separators application handled with cold-applied Belzona repair composites and protective coatings — supplied and applied in place, typically with no hot work and no shutdown. As the authorized Belzona distributor for Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and most of West Virginia, our team specifies the right system, then supplies it, applies it, or both. Recommended systems for this work include Belzona 1391S, Belzona 1391T, Belzona 1392 — 5 recommended Belzona products in total. Below are the recommended Belzona products for this application, what each one is used for, and related separators work we handle across the Mid-Atlantic.
What tends to go wrong in separators: Inlet erosion from sand-laden multiphase flow at the inlet nozzle and distributor. Bottom-head pitting in the water-and-sand collection zone.

About Separators
Separator vessels see a difficult combination at every internal surface: hydrocarbon, water, sand, and dissolved gas in continuous contact. Erosion-corrosion at the inlet, sand-scour on the bottom head, and chemical pitting in produced-water service are the dominant findings. Belzona's immersion-grade and chemical-resistant systems are graded to the service.
