Overview
Chiller failures concentrate at the evaporator tube ends, condenser water-side flange faces, and refrigerant-side weld points where bi-metallic corrosion and erosion combine over decades of service. Belzona 1111 (Super Metal) rebuilds eroded metal on tube sheets and end covers; Belzona 1321 (Ceramic S-Metal) overcoats with continuous-immersion erosion resistance to 140°F (60°C); Belzona 5811 (Immersion Grade) extends chemical-resistance backup on the cooling-water side. The system applies cold during the seasonal cooling-tower turnaround, returning the unit to service before the building-load shoulder season ends.
