Overview
Plastic & rubber pipe repair is a pipelines application handled with cold-applied Belzona repair composites and protective coatings — supplied and applied in place, typically with no hot work and no shutdown. As the authorized Belzona distributor for Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and most of West Virginia, our team specifies the right system, then supplies it, applies it, or both. Recommended systems for this work include Belzona 9341. Below are the recommended Belzona products for this application, what each one is used for, and related pipelines work we handle across the Mid-Atlantic.
What tends to go wrong in pipelines: External wall loss from atmospheric corrosion on bare or coating-failed pipework. Corrosion under insulation (CUI) on insulated lines operating in the 50–175°C (120–350°F) wet-corrosion band.
What this covers
- Crack and leak repair on polypropylene and polyethylene pipes using Belzona 1221 (Super E-Metal)
- Reinforcement of Belzona 2000 Series elastomeric repairs on rubber linings, conveyor belts, and similar substrates

About Pipelines
External wall loss from atmospheric corrosion, corrosion under insulation, and mechanical damage are the most common pipeline integrity findings. Belzona addresses each with a graded set of cold-cure systems: ISO 24817 / ASME PCC-2 composite wraps for structural reinforcement, immersion-grade epoxy coatings for corrosion barrier, and surface-tolerant pastes for live-leak intervention.
