Composite repair reinforcement layers is a pipelines application handled with cold-applied Belzona repair composites and protective coatings — supplied and applied in place, typically with no hot work and no shutdown. What tends to go wrong in pipelines: External wall loss from atmospheric corrosion on bare or coating-failed pipework. Corrosion under insulation (CUI) on insulated lines operating in the 50–175°C (120–350°F) wet-corrosion band.
